Lydia Teuscher studiowała w Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama oraz w Hochschule für Musik w Mannheim.
Regularnie współpracuje z takimi dyrygentami, jak René Jacobs, Jonathan Cohen, Emmanuelle Haïm, sir Roger Norrington, Helmuth Rilling i Markus Stenz. Najważniejsze występy sezonu 2015/16 to Pasja wg św. Mateusza Bacha z Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra pod batutą Ivora Boltona, Msza h-moll Bacha z Hamburger Symphoniker pod dyrekcją Jeffreya Tate’a, Stworzenie świata Haydna z Sydney Symphony Orchestra i Masaaki Suzuki oraz Msza c-moll Mozarta z zespołem Les Violons du Roy pod kierunkiem Bernarda Labadie.

Jako członkini zespołu Semperoper w Dreźnie śpiewała Paminę w Czarodziejskim flecie i Susannę w Weselu Figara Mozarta, Ännchen w Wolnym strzelcu Webera, Valencienne w Wesołej wdówce Lehára oraz Małgosię w Jasiu i Małgosi Humperdincka. Występy na innych estradach to m.in. Pamina podczas Salzburg Mozartwoche, Festiwalu  w Aix-en-Provence, w Teatrze Bolszoj oraz w Bayerische Staatsoper i Deutsche Staatsoper; Susanna na Glyndebourne Festival; Zerlina w Don Giovannim Mozarta w Teatrze Bolszoj; Małgosia w Jasiu i Małgosi w ramach Glyndebourne Festival; a także Cherubin i Hero w Béatrice et Bénédict Berlioza na Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto.

Born in Freiburg, Germany, she studied at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff and at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Mannheim. Highlights in her 2017/18 season include Haydn’s The Creation with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, Telemann’s Brockes-Passion with Il Giardino Armonico and Giovanni Antonini, and Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn with the Saito Kinen Orchestra and Nathalie Stutzmann.

In opera, Lydia Teuscher has sung Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Salzburg Mozartwoche, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, the Bolshoi, the Bayerische Staatsoper, and Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin; Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at the Glyndebourne Festival, Dresdner Semperoper, Staatstheater Karlsruhe, and at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center in Japan; Héro in Berlioz’s Béatrice et Bénédict at the Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto in Japan; Zerlina in Don Giovanni for the Bolshoi and Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel for the Glyndebourne Festival, Dresdner Semperoper, and Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto.

She regularly collaborates with conductors such as René Jacobs, Jonathan Cohen, Emmanuelle Haïm, Sir Roger Norrington, Helmuth Rilling, Markus Stenz, and Bernard Labadie. Recent highlights have included Schoenberg’s Pierrot lunaire with the Ensemble of the Bayerische Staatsoper, Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 with the London Symphony Orchestra and Daniel Harding, Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and Sylvain Cambreling, and Handel’s Messiah with the Orchestre National de Lille and Jan Willem de Vriend.
