Artysta rozwijał swoją karierę na wielu polach, co zaowocowało na przestrzeni lat funkcjami głównego dyrygenta lub drugiego dyrygenta pięciu orkiestr w pięciu różnych krajach, a także przyniosło liczne zaproszenia do współpracy w charakterze dyrygenta gościnnego i dyrygenta rezydenta. Był pierwszym dyrygentem Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini w Parmie, drugim dyrygentem Münchener Kammerorchester i Orchestre national d’Auvergne, a także pierwszym dyrygentem gościnnym Haydn Philharmonie i dyrektorem muzycznym Academia Montis Regalis. Prowadził również Kammerorchester Basel, Tafelmusik BaroquemOrchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino,Divino Sospiro, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, Real Filharmonía de Galicia czy Sinfonietta Rīga.

Dyrygent, skrzypek, pedagog, wychowany w salonie antykwarycznym swoich rodziców w Rawennie, od początku studiów muzycznych był otoczony pięknem przeszłości i rozwinęła się w nim głęboka pasja do wykonawstwa historycznego. Badając repertuar od XVII do XX w., wypracował swój indywidualny język dzięki wiedzy o dawnych praktykach wykonawczych, które są niezwykłym źródłem inspiracji dla nowych idei i perspektyw interpretacyjnych. Enrico Onofri wciąż nawiązuje nowe kontakty, prowadząc nowe programy z muzyką od XVIII w. po współczesną. Został także dobrze przyjęty jako dyrygent operowy w Opéra de Lyon, Teatro de la Maestranza w Sewilli, Opernhaus Halle; współpracował z takimi reżyserami, ja Alessio Pizzech, Mariame Clément, David Marton i Stephen Lawless. Enrico Onofri jest laureatem wielu prestiżowych nagród fonograficznych, a także nagrody Premio Abbiati 2019 dla najlepszego solisty roku.

Conductor Enrico Onofri is an artist whose multifaceted career has led him over the years to lead positions as principal or associate conductor with fiveorchestras in five different countries, as well as numerous invitations as a guest or in-residence conductor. Principal Conductor of the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini in Parma, Associate Conductor of the Münchener Kammerorchester and the Orchestre national d’Auvergne, as well as Principal Guest Conductor of the Haydn Philharmonie and Music Director of the Academia Montis Regalis, he was concertmaster from 1986 to 2010 of the ensemble Il Giardino Armonico, after hisyouthful beginnings alongside Jordi Savall and Nikolaus Harnoncourt.

In 2002, he began his conducting career with symphonic, chamber and historical orchestras such as the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, the Camerata Bern, the Bochumer Symphoniker, and the Lucerne Festival Strings. Others also included the Kammerorchester Basel, the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, ,the Divino Sospiro, the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, the Real Filharmonía de Galicia, and the Sinfonietta Rīga.

A conductor, violinist, teacher, grown up in his parents’ antiquarian atelier in Ravenna, surrounded by the beauty of thepast from the beginning of his musical studies, Enrico Onofri has developeda deep passion for historical performances, exploring the repertoire from the 17th to the 20th century, and thus creating his own personal language through the knowledge of ancient practices, intended as extraordinary sources of inspiration for new ideas and perspectives in interpretation. Onofri continues to develop new connections, conducting new programmes ranging from the 18th century to contemporary music. He has also distinguished himself in opera productions at the Opéra de Lyon, the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, the Opernhaus Halle, collaborating with directors such as Alessio Pizzech, Mariame ,Clément, David Marton, and Stephen Lawless. Enrico Onofri has been awarded numerous and prestigious recording awards, as well as the 2019 Premio Abbiati
as best soloist of the year.
