The second part of the Japanese showcase at Jazztopad. This time, it's pure, untamed improvisation, led by true masters. Free jazz percussionist Tamaya Honda is well-known for his projects with Michiyo Yagi (the Polish audience knows them from concerts with Wacław Zimpel). Daisuke Takaoka is a member of the 20-strong Shibusashirazu Orchestra, who merge jazz, dance and theatre into exciting live performances. On stage we will also see Akira Sakata, known for his work with Bill Laswell and DJ Krush, violinist Keisuke Ohta, and Masahiko Satoh – a pianist who can be heard on records by Anthony Braxton and Peter Brötzmann.
