The concert entitled ‘The Roots of Music Grow in Africa’ is an extraordinary journey in time. Invited artists will take us back to the times when music was born. We will have the opportunity to hear the sound of instruments that were created hundreds or even thousands of years ago and which have survived unchanged to the present day. Some of them gave rise to instruments appearing in the symphony orchestra. During our meeting, instruments made of fruits, sticks, leather, beeswax, nuts and bamboo will be played. They were brought to Poland from the remotest corners of the world, such as Australia, Africa, India and Nepal. The concert will introduce the rhythm, which was very important in earliest music, as well as the resonance box, without which many instruments could not be played. In addition, we will talk about the first wind instruments, such as shells, horns, bones and reeds, and find out if you can tune planks and sticks.

 The concert dedicated to the roots of music will be led by the Camels ensemble. The guest artists will fill the matinee with music played on primitive, but very interesting instruments and bring their distant story to young music lovers.
