A Wrocław born drummer and musician, Aleksandra is a graduate of the Karol Lipiński Music Academy in Wrocław who also studied at the Leoš Janáček Academy of Music in Brno. She is a winner of many competitions, including 1st place at the 6th Giornate Della Percussione vibraphone competition in Fermo. The musician holds also scholarships of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and of the Mayor of the City of Wrocław. Permanently associated with the NFM Symphony Orchestra, she also collaborates with NFM Leopoldinum, Opera Dolnośląska, Lower Silesia Philharmonic, The Film Harmony Orchestra and Sound Factory Orchestra. Aleksandra is a participant of international orchestral projects, including Culture Orchestra, Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic, Pan - European Philharmonia. As a chamber musician she regularly performs at festivals related to contemporary music, which were, just recently: MUSMA (3rd Edition – pieces written for a percussion ensemble), Musica Polonica Nova, Musica Electronica Nova, ISCM World Music Days 2014, Poznań musical spring, or Music on the Heights.She cooperates with the Wrocław branch of the Polish Composers' Union. Since October 2015, she has been lecturer at the Music Academy in Wrocław. She is also member of the kompopolex ensemble and the Wrocław drums trio, involved in the music education of young people. As a participant of a pilot project of the Lower Silesian Music Society, she works to introduce brass bands as extracurricular activities at schools. In addition to classical music, she co-leads Mamatucada: a female percussion orchestra specializing in the performance of Brazilian rhythms. As a vibraphonist, she performs with Super, a young band from Wrocław. In the years 2014-2015 she was involved in the Eklektik Session project.
