“The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things” Lamentations 1.10

We are presenting to you another album with Polish early music. It is unique because it was recorded and released at the time when we celebrated the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence.
Considering the last three hundred years and comparing ourselves with other European countries, we notice how much cultural property we have lost. Seeing this, we try to remember the past, and also respect and protect our cultural heritage. We care for architectural monuments – we restore their splendour or try to reconstruct what is possible to reconstruct. Unfortunately, lost music cannot be performed...
This album contains ten works by Stanisław Sylwester Szarzyński – all these are the preserved works of the composer. Their unique beauty and the highest artistic level testify best to their composer  placing his among the greatest musical personalities of the world. Despite the small number of preserved works, Szarzyński will always remain a pride of Poland, and it is our duty to remember his music, protect it, value it, and promote it as widely as possible.
