We invite you to a meeting introducing the theme of the concert Banganarti Hymns. The guests will be: Prof. Paweł Łukaszewski – composer, conductor, teacher and organizer of musical life, and (since 2016) Deputy Rector of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw; Prof Bogdan Żurawski (Polish Academy of Sciences) and Dr Agata Deptuła (Warsaw University).
The meeting will take place on 13 September at 5.30 pm in the Auditorium, room 2 of Wrocław University Institute of History (entrance through the gate of the Wrocław Univeristy Archive).
The meeting will be held in Polish.
The commissioning of the Symphony No. 8 ‘Banganarti Hymns’ for bass, mixed choir and orchestra by P. Łukaszewski was co-financed from the funds of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, coming from the Culture Promotion Fund – a state special-purpose fund, as part of the programme ‘Collections’ – priority ‘Composing Commissions’ realised by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
