Zespół założony i prowadzony przez Enrica Onofriego skupia grupę muzyków, którzy występują z najważniejszymi zespołami muzyki dawnej; imaginarium oznacza „dom wyobraźni”.

Ensemble Imaginarium wydał z sukcesem płytę La Voce nel Violino (2006, Zig Zag Territoires), poświęconą wspaniałemu włoskiemu repertuarowi skrzypcowemu z okresu wczesnego baroku, następnie ukazały się: Vivaldi – La Follia. Violin sonatas (DHM/Sony), The Devil’s Trill – z wirtuozowską muzyką skrzypcową Tartiniego, Veraciniego i innych (Passacaille), oraz dwa albumy z Sonatami skrzypcowymi op. 5 Corellego (Passacaille).

Founded and directed by Enrico Onofri, the Ensemble Imaginarium (Imaginarium in Latin means ‘the place of images’) brings together a group of musicians who all appear with key Early Music ensembles.

In 2006 Ensemble Imaginarium released with great success the CD La Voce nel Violino (Zig Zag Territoires), dedicated to the great Italian Early Baroque repertoire for violin, followed by the CD Vivaldi – La Follia. Violin sonatas (DHM/Sony), Devil’s Trill (devoted to virtuosic violin music by Tartini, Veracini and others – released by Passacaille label), and the complete recording in two volumes of Corelli’s Violin Sonatas, op. 5 (Passacaille).
