On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Disney’s foundation, we invite you to a unique events! The NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, under the baton of Radosław Labahua, will present Pixar In Concert. We will hear compositions from famous Disney and Pixar productions that are loved not only by the younger audiences, but also by the slightly older ones: “Toy Story”, “Finding Nemo”, “Ratatouille”, “Monsters Inc.”, “WALL·E”, “Cars”, “High”, “The Incredibles”, “Inside Out”, “Cars 2”, “Monsters University”, “Finding Dory”, “Coco”, “Incredibles 2”, “Toy Story 3”! Fragments of these wonderful animations will also be shown on the big screen.

For nearly 30 years, Disney and Pixar has been taking us to previously unknown places, showing the world from a new perspective and telling moving, emotional and humorous universal stories for viewers of all ages. Since “Toy Story”, the first feature-length computer animation in the history of cinema, Disney and Pixar has been revolutionising the art of animation with the help of technological innovations combined with unbridled imagination and creativity. Between St. Nicholas’ Day and Christmas, we will invite listeners to the world of films in which toys come to life, monsters live in wardrobes, and even a rat can make a career in the kitchen. We will be taken on a journey by music from iconic films that have accompanied us for decades. Children will see fragments of their favourite animations and hear compositions with which their parents grew up. For the older audience, the concert is likely to be a sentimental journey on the one hand, and an opportunity to learn about the latest Disney and Pixar film stories on the other.

Pixar In Concert will consist of compositions by three acclaimed artists who have won numerous awards. We will hear songs by Randy Newman, known as the prodigy of American popular music. He has composed numerous soundtracks, including those to films such as “Toy Story”, “Monsters Inc.”, “Cars”, “Monsters University” and “Toy Story 3”. Behind the moving melodies for “WALL·E”, “Finding Nemo” and “Finding Dory” is Thomas Newman. We owe the music from “Ratatouille”, “The Incredibles”, “Inside Out”, “Cars 2”, “Coco” and “The Incredibles 2” to Michael Giacchino, one of Hollywood’s great hopes for the 21st century, considered to be an heir to John Williams or John Barry. The success of the creators of Disney and Pixar soundtracks proves that they have perfectly complemented the esteemed and inimitable animations for which they were created. There has never been such a concert at the National Forum of Music!
