During the April* Gordon Concert presented by the NFM Education Centre, we will be transported to the world of pre-war elegance and unforgettable Polish melodies. The popular songs from that period, full of charm and nostalgia, still move hearts and evoke warm memories.
Although the 1920s and 1930s seem a distant past, each of us has certainly hummed at least once Miłość ci wszystko wybaczy or Umówiłem się z nią na dziewiątą. The most beautiful Polish songs of that era will be presented by Agnieszka Damrych and her band, paying tribute to legendary artists such as Mieczysław Fogg and Hanka Ordonówna. It’s time for our youngest listeners to get to know the timeless, beautiful melodies.
The concert is based on the theory of music learning by Professor Edwin E. Gordon (University of South Carolina, USA). The aim of this concept is to shape the musical language of children and support their comprehensive development. The form of the meeting is very free: the youngest listeners, together with their parents or guardians, sit on the floor between the musicians and actively participate in the concert. The performers make contact with the audience and encourage them to sing along, dance and play rhythms. Join us for a creative and memorable time together!
