The Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music in Wrocław announces a competition for a musical project related to the theme of the 60th International Festival Wratislavia Cantans Festival – Paradise Lost [?]
- The competition is open to chamber music ensembles consisting of three to eight members, whose average age is no more than thirty-two years, and the oldest participant is no more than forty years old, active in the field of classical music (from early music to contemporary music) and having at least one singer in their line-up.
- Applications are accepted until March 15, 2025, based on a completed electronic form.
- The application must include: a biography and line-up of the ensemble along with the dates of birth of each artist, biographies of the ensemble members, a proposed concert programme relating to the theme of the Festival, not exceeding forty-five minutes of music, and a link to a recent recording of the ensemble in audio-video format. The recording may contain a different repertoire than that submitted for the competition.
- The competition will be decided by March 31, 2025.
- A prize will be awarded to the winner ensembles in the form of performances at four festival concerts: on September 13, 2025, in Wrocław and on September 10, 11, and 12, 2025, in other towns of Lower Silesia indicated by the NFM; travel costs will be reimbursed, accommodation will be guaranteed, and a fee of EUR 500 gross for each musician for each concert will be paid.
