We invite our youngest music lovers to the roaring New Orleans! We will travel to the 1920s and 1930s and together with the Dixie Tiger’s Band we will have fun together with exceptionally energetic and joyful music performed on instruments such as the sousaphone and banjo. There will also be fun with singing and rhythm.
Gordon Concerts are based on the theory of music learning by Professor Edwin E. Gordon (University of South Carolina, USA). The aim of this concept is to shape the musical language of children and support their comprehensive development. The concerts are run in a freewheeling atmosphere. Children and their parents/guardians actively participate in the concerts. The musicians make contact with the audience and encourage them to sing, dance and play rhythms together. We invite the youngest listeners to improvise with their own “instruments” (e.g. bells, drum, maracas).
