Join us for a concert that will take you to the magical world of fancy dress parties and balls. The music will reflect the atmosphere of Viennese carnival, with its long-standing tradition of balls, initiated during the Congress of Vienna. You will hear, of course, the rhythms of waltz, a dance introduced to artistocratic ballrooms for the first time during the Congress.
We will listen to works by Johann Strauss II: waltzes, polkas, quadrilles, polonaises, and the famous Radetsky March by Johann Strauss I. Dancers will present choreographies popular in Vienna's high society.
