The National Forum of Music in Wrocław announces a competition for a musical project inspired by the theme of the 61st International Festival Wratislavia Cantans “The Shadow Line”
Participation is open to chamber music groups fulfilling the following criteria:
- consisting of 3 to 9 members,
- working in the field of classical music (from early to contemporary music),
- having at least one singer in their line-up
- whose average age does not exceed 33, and whose oldest member is not older than 40.
Competition applications are accepted until January 18, 2026, via an online form. Applications should include:
- the ensemble’s lineup, including dates of birth of all artists,
- a biography of the ensmeble and biographies of its members,
- a proposed concert programme related to the festival theme, with a total duration of up to 60 minutes,
- a technical rider,
- a link to a current audio-video recording of the applying ensmeble (repertoire other than that submitted in the competition programme is acceptable).
The competition will be decided by January 30, 2026.
Competition Award
The awarded ensembles will be invited to perform in three festival concerts during the 61st edition of Wratislavia Cantans. The organiser provides:
- reimbursement of travel expenses,
- accommodation,
- a fee of €500 gross per concert for each musician.
