The Polish Composers’ Union (ZKP) is a co-organiser of the Musica Polonica Nova festival. It was this association that initiated the biennial of contemporary Polish music, which currently takes place in Wrocław, back in the 1960s. This year, alongside Wrocław artists, representatives from the Poznań Branch will also be present. The Sepia Ensemble will present the diverse voices of nine artists.

Poznań will be represented by Katarzyna Kwiecień-Długosz (active in Zielona Góra), Jerzy Wojciechowski (composer, instrumentalist and musicologist), Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska (president of the Poznań branch of ZKP), and Szymon Jóźwiak (clarinetist at Sepia). Among Wrocław composers, the premiere pieces have been created by Katarzyna Dziewiątkowska (also a vocalist and music theorist), Adrian Foltyn (drawing on neurobiology and cognitive science), Grzegorz Pieniek (based in Vienna), Magdalena Gorwa (theatre artist and teacher), and Stanisław Krupowicz (doyen of the Wrocław School of Electronic Music).
