Travelling across Poland, Santa Claus visits children living in various corners of the country. He tries to grant their wishes, but he admits it is no easy task. Finally, he arrives in Wrocław. A letter from a boy leads him straight to the National Forum of Music.
Meanwhile, in the concert hall, packed with the youngest audience, the orchestra takes the stage and the concert begins. Jan Stefani’s energetic, colourful Overture performed by the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic attracts Santa’s attention, who timidly lurks in the wings. Finally, he musters up courage to emerge from hiding and reveal to the children where he came from and what surprises he has brought them. The concert with Santa Claus is a true musical celebration dedicated to children. Colourful compositions based on folk melodies will take you to Kraków’s Market Square, where the bugle call will sound from St Mary’s Tower. During the Christmas market, amidst stalls filled with various toys, figurines, and colourful baubles, children will enjoy a puppet show. And with the help of a pair of dancers, they will learn the basic steps of the polonaise and krakowiak. Santa will also introduce participants to Wrocław’s musical traditions, revealing which great composers have visited and performed here.
