On this extraordinary night, as we welcome the New Year, we invite you to the NFM New Year's Eve Ball, inspired by the tradition of the Venetian Carnival, rooted far back to the Renaissance and baroque traditions. Its defining features included richly decorated masks, elaborate costumes, an atmosphere of mystery and reconciliation, as well as equality and shared celebration. Once the final note of the concert has faded away, enriched by the beauty of music, we will continue the festivities in true Italian style, with outstanding artists, exquisite cuisine, and interiors filled with atmospheric lighting and music for dancing.
On the last evening of the year, gondoliers' songs and Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons will evoke the spirit of Venice in its age of decadent festivity. The artistry of the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Jarosław Thiel will accompany the charismatic mandolin virtuoso Avi Avital and the crystalline soprano Núria Rial. After feast for the soul, guests will be invited to a gala dinner served in the foyer on level -3 and in the Black Hall. The menu will feature a selection of carefully prepared dishes created by a professional and experienced culinary team, including vegetarian and vegan options.
Remaining in the atmosphere of a Venetian ball, members of the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra will return to accompany a performance by the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet, a company specializing in Baroque dances. Founded and directed by Romana Agnel – dancer, art historian, choreographer, and one of the leading experts in the field – the ensemble will invite guests to join in the fun and learn the basic steps of one of the dances presented during the performance. Meanwhile, the Red Hall will be transformed into a dance floor, where DJ PILL (Marcin Piłat) will keep the celebration going. Since 2006, he has promoted and produced hundreds of events and concerts in Wrocław's legendary clubs. He will take our guests on a musical journey, blending iconic hits from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s with favourites from the turn of the millennium. The New Year’s celebration will go on until 2:00 a.m.!
