We invite you to an evening of musical mastery with Krzysztof Jakowicz playing the violin and Robert Morawski accompanying him on the piano. ‘With endless tenderness’ they will play evergreens by famous composers – from Schubert to Piazzolla. Krzysztof Jakowicz’s concerts do not need any special PR. It is worth recalling, though, that in 1962 he won the 3rd prize and special prize of Henryk Szeryng at the International Wieniawski Competition in Poznań. In his impressive collection of awards there is a Fryderyk and a Diapason d’Or as well as Orfeusz (the award of music critics founded by SPAM - the Association of Polish Musicians). He is the first Polish violinist to have recorded the complete Johann Sebastian Bach partitas and sonatas for the Polish Radio. For almost half a century he has run the violin class at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (previously State Superior Music School) in Warsaw.
His accompanist, Artur Morawski, was honoured with the F. Chopin University of Music Rector’s Award for his artistic and teaching achievements, and in 2011 he won Fryderyk in the category: Album of the Year – Chamber Music.
