Painting, sculpture, dance, literature and film are art disciplines with which groups of improvising musicians interacted during the previous four editions of Melting Pot. This time musicians will unite with other kinds of creative works. In their improvisations they will interact with a sculpture functioning as a musical instrument and a sound installation. The instrument, made mostly of metal, is a construction with some parts producing sounds. After careful tuning, the sounding parts will constitute a set of resonating areas becoming the basis for creating sounds. These sculpture-produced sounds will be then taken up by musicians for further improvisation.
