Based in Strasbourg, OZMA is jazz group with rich and varied influences orbiting in a decidedly current universe that is both adventurous and accessible. It is this ambiance that OZMA has explored and shared throughout its five albums. Since 2007, OZMA’s opus has been nourished by numerous tours (more than 200 concerts in North America, Africa, India and Europe), varied creations (a big band, four live film projection concerts, two photo-concerts, a visual art creation) and meetings with foreign artists (in Burkina Faso in 2008, In Gujarat, India in 2012 and in South Africa in 2014).

Piotr Wojtasik is a trumpeter and a composer. He has received the most important music awards in Poland (Fryderyk, Jazzowy Oskar, Mateusz and others  He is the winner of several annual rankings ‘Jaz Top’ run by Jazz Forum magazine, in  the most popular Polish jazz trumpeter category. For over a dozen years now, he has recorded and performed with the greatest international jazz stars, such as Billy Harper, Kenny Garrett, Gary Bartz, Dave Liebman, Victor Lewis, Billy Hart, Daniel Humier, Joachim Kuhn, Michel Donato and many others. Piotr Wojtasik features on over 100 albums, of which eighth are with his own music,    He has appeared at almost every important jazz festival and many concerts across the world: from the USA and Canada, across Europe, down to north Africa and Japan. 

Sylwester Ostrowski is a jazz saxophonist and music producer. As a musician he won the grand prix at the Competition of Jazz Standards Siedlce 2002. As a producer he was honoured with Fryderyk 2007 for Piotr Wojtasik’s album Circle. For his contribution to Szczecin Akademia Sztuki he was honoured with the Culture Merit Badge by Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski. He has recorded two discs: When the groove is low (2011) and Don’t Explain (2013) produced with American jazz players Wayne Dockery and Newman T. Baker. His third album Just Music (2014) is dedicated to Asian markets and recorded with the Japanese star Makoto Kuriya. Sylwester Ostrowski is the recipient of the City of Szczecin Artistic Award 2012. For several years now Sylwester has been leading his own group in close collaboration with the leading Polish trumpeter Piotr Wojtasik.
