The Pakamera String Quartet was founded in 2013 by graduates of the Music Academies in Wrocław and Warsaw. The ensemble has performed as part of such music festivals as Warsaw Autumn, the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival, Wratislavia Cantans, Musica Polonica Nova and they are members of the NFM Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra. The quartet formed out of a particular fascination with cinema and the role played by music in the film. The ensemble has recorded a number of works for cinema, theatre and television, including Mikromusic, and Digit All Love, and have appeared as guests on the albums of artists like Krzysztof Kiljański, Katarzyna Nosowska, Janusz Radek and Sambor Dudziński.
The Ashes and Diamonds program will present the different shades of love as presented in the music of the silver screen. Perfect for the celebration of Valentine’s Day, the quartet will explore both trivial romances and tragic stories within a canvas of the most beautiful emotions.
