After a one-year break, we invite you to participate in an open rehearsal of a string orchestra bringing together participants of this year's NFM Orchestra Academy. The Orchestra Academy is a project of the National Forum of Music offering orchestral training to young musicians.
One of the elements of these all-season workshops are orchestra classes offering training in a wide range of orchestral repertoire, were orchestral playing follows tutorials and sectional rehearsals. It is also an opportunity to work with top-class musicians - in the 2020/2021 season we have planned orchestral classes with Jacek Kaspszyk (long-term Artistic Director of the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, NOSPR, and the Warsaw Philharmonic), Marcin Markowicz (founding member of the Lutosławski Quartet, concertmaster of the Orchestra of the Polish Radio, Artistic Director of the Ensemble Festival in Wałbrzych), Giancarlo Guerrero (Artistic Director of the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic) and Janusz Wawrowski (excellent Polish violinist, artistic director of the Warsaw Players, playing the only Polish Stradivari violin).
In February 2021, the participants of the AO will be working under the supervision of Jacek Kaspszyk on one of the most beautiful serenades: Serenade for strings in C major op. 48 by P. Tchaikovsky.
The fragment of the rehearsal we invite you to on Sunday, is the last hour of joint work of the young professionals and their teacher, which will take them 6 hours in total and will have started the day before.
The rehearsal will last one hour without intermission.
