The concert entitled Peter and the Wolf, is addressed to preschool children and school children of grades 1-3. The works to be presented to young listeners by the artists of the National Forum of Music were written by the eminent Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. With little music lovers in mind, he created a fairy tale about Peter and the Wolf and composed music for it. Each character in this fairy tale will be presented with sounds of a different instrument. The audience's task will be to carefully follow the musical themes under which the various characters of this story will be hidden. Disguised as characters of a fairy tale, students of the Lower Silesian Operetta Ballet School will dance to individual scenes, and the narrator, reading the text of the fairy tale, will help young listeners understand the course of the musical story. During the concert, children will learn to distinguish musical instruments, get acquainted with their technical possibilities and colours.
