We invite you to the concert of the NFM Boys’ Choir as part of this year's edition of Brave Kids - an educational and artistic project involving children's ensembles and arts groups from around the world! We will hear famous songs from films about the adventures of Professor Ambroży Blot, songs for children composed by Witold Lutosławski, as well as religious compositions.

The first two films with the participation of Mr Blot – Mr Blot’s Academy and Mr Blot’s Travels - were based on a novel by Jan Brzechwa; the third – Mr Blot in Space - was based on the original screenplay. The films were directed by Krzysztof Gradowski, who was also the author of the lyrics to some of the songs to which Andrzej Korzyński wrote the music, and the unforgettable Piotr Fronczewski played the role of the title character. During the concert, we will hear such famous hits as: Welcome to our Fairy Tale, Weird Duc, On the Bergamuta Islands.

Although the name of Witold Lutosławski is associated primarily with such works as Venetian Games, Concerto for Orchestra, or Mi parti, an important place in his oeuvre is also occupied by smaller pieces, such as songs written to texts for children. Despite their often ‘childish’ character, the pieces show the composer’s excellent technique, which we will have the opportunity to see during the concert, whose programme will be complemented by religious works performed by the NFM Boys’ Choir. These will include, among others, Alleluia from Exsultate jubilate KV 158 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Austrian composer wrote this work in Milan and dedicated it to the Italian castrato Venanzio Rauzzini. You will also hear Howard Goodall's The Lord is My Shepherd. The theme of this song was used in the award-winning BBC comedy series Vicar of Dibley.
