2022/2023 is the eighth season of the NFM Orchestra Academy, a project aimed at professional preparation of young musicians to work in orchestras. We invite you to the December open rehearsal of the string orchestra composed of the participants of this year’s OA.

One of the elements of the all-season workshops are orchestral classes which give the opportunity to practise a wide range of orchestral repertoire and to transform into experience the knowledge gained during tutorials and section rehearsals. It is also an opportunity to collaborate with musicians of the highest class. The first orchestral classes in the 2022/2023 season will be conducted by Marta Gardolińska (Music Director of the Opera national de Lorraine and first guest conductor of the Orquestra Simfónica de Barcelona) – participants of the NFM Orchestra Academy will work under her guidance on the Serenade for strings in E major op. 22 by Antonín Dvořák.

For several years now, the NFM Orchestra Academy has been giving you the opportunity to watch the creative process that takes place during a rehearsal of a professional orchestra – a process that usually results in a concert. The part of the rehearsal in which you will participate on Sunday is the last hour of joint work of the undergraduates and the leader, planned for a total of six hours and starting the day before. Your attendance presence will become an additional motivation for our young musicians and a catalyst for releasing their emotions, key to artistic creation.

He open rehearsal will last 60 minutes and will run without an intermission.
