Dear listeners, you can be sure that this morning the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic will put you in a great mood. A real feast for the ears will begin with the musical sunrise, which was written by the Norwegian composer Edward Grieg. The work will sparkle with a full palette of colours and shades, from the pastoral motif of the flute and oboe to the radiant climax of the entire orchestra. This beautiful beginning of the concert will influence its further dynamic course. We will take a train on a musical journey around the world, following the trails blazed by superb composers. The pace of this event will be set by a whistle signal and a distinct rhythm played on a snare drum, reminiscent of the working pistons of a speeding train. First we will visit Poland, then we will head to Czechia, Austria, Italy and France. After a journey through the old continent, we will visit North America, where excellent works from the borderline of classical and jazz come from.
With a Symphony Orchestra around the World shows the historical development of symphony orchestra and the role of the conductor. We will get to know the most important composers, and the concert will be an opportunity to better understand such issues as instrumentation, timbre, character and tempo of a piece. You will learn to better feel symphonic music and understand its wonderful world.
