There is nothing more fascinating than a journey into the depths of music. Listening to it, you can feel like on a flying carpet; discover the extraordinary stories that composers wrote on the pages of their scores; get to know the colours and timbres of the instruments that make up the symphony orchestra, thanks to which the music acts on the listener’s imagination like a magic spell. Listening to the works, the participants will see Turkish markets and Arabian souks through the eyes of their imagination. In the background, there will be caravans of merchants who travel through the desert on camels, bands of robbers, jugglers, snake charmers and a beautiful princess carried by servants, living in the sultan’s palace.
The NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, led by Piotr Wacławik, will take young listeners to the adventurous world of fairy tales. With this concert, we will open children's imagination to the various sounds of symphony orchestra. We will draw attention to the instruments that emphasise the oriental character of the story, e.g. piccolo flute, English horn, celesta and gong. We will introduce the names of noteworthy composers whose works will be heard during this fairy-tale event.
