Children’s Day is a great opportunity to introduce your children to the wonderful world of music during the final concert of Singing Poland. For the young audience and young performers it will be an event full of energy and joy!
The first full-length musical has been created for the Singing Poland programme, so it will be an extraordinary concert. Its basis is the well-known and beloved Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs written by the Grimm Brothers. Thanks to the collaboration of Justyna Skoczek (libretto) and Adam Lepka (music), the story will be presented in a completely new version. We hope that this musical version will sink into the hearts of listeners and bring them a lot of joy.
Snow White’s stepmother (not as bad as in the fairy tale) educates her stepdaughter in the palace, but she feels that she can’t teach her anymore. So she decides to send her on an educational journey. Snow White finds herself in the modern world and starts working in a corporation, where she will have to face her boss’s envy of her great programming talent. The princess will learn the value of hard work and the friendship of seven co-workers. Together they will face the threat that awaits the talented Snow White and will manage to defeat it thanks to joint action and faith in justice.
We have invited seven choirs from all over Poland to perform the musical. They will stand shoulder to shoulder and, not only by singing, but also by acting, they will help the audience move to a magical land and... a land that is less magical and a little more familiar to us. Snow White 2.0 is a story about the power of friendship, the value of being together and the triumph of justice – important and timeless values, so worth highlighting on Children’s Day.
