The Art Poorly Present Festival was established by the Cultural Events Office of the Institute of National Remembrance. It was created with the aim of extracting the Polish artistic heritage of the difficult post-war years from the archives and showing it to the world.
The concert is dedicated to artists excluded and censored by the communist authorities in Poland. Among them were composers who decided to emigrate as an act of protest against the government of that time, but also those who, despite ideological difficulties, struggled to create at home, defying the oppressive regime in their homeland.
The Institute of National Remembrance and the concert partners invite you to a joint celebration. We hope that the festival concert will be a moment of admiration for the art shaped by Poland’s post-war history. May the art poorly present come back and take its rightful place on the music scene.
Free tickets can be collected at the NFM Box Office and online.
