Coffee, coffee, I need... sings the protagonist of Bach’s Coffee Cantata, expressing a longing shared by many. Before the concert featuring this work performed by the musicians of the Wrocław Baroque Ensemble under the baton of Andrzej Kosendiak, join us for a meeting with barista Ernest Dec and a presentation of ceramics from Bolesławiec.

Is it a coincidence that the international celebration of coffee and music falls on the same day? To mark the occasion, we invite you to a meeting with the head barista and owner of the Oto Coffee Bar in Wrocław – his roastery delivers coffee beans to NFM Bistro. From an expert’s perspective, he will discuss the different types of coffee, brewing methods, and the history of the beverage Bach enjoyed at Café Zimmermann in Leipzig. Ernest Dec is an enthusiastic individual who straddles several fields, including DJing and photography. As a sound engineer and vinyl record lover, he describes himself as collecting not genres but moments, textures, and emotions. He is interested in organic music that defies obvious categorisations, and ideally, music that can take the listener to a completely unexpected place. And this is precisely where he sees its analogy to coffee.

Dec will discuss the origins of “black gold”, its character, rhythm, temperature, and that one moment when everything begins to come together. Both a high-quality, aromatic beverage and a song that resonates with the listener have something in common: they do not have to be loud to stay with the listener for a long time. After the presentation, enjoy coffee at a special price!
