The main idea of the concert is the space and contrast between the chamber and full string orchestra line-up. The programme will include works written especially for the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra, as well as works composed for the jazz violinist Adam Bałdych.
This artist bravely breaks conventions and combines the world of jazz and contemporary music. He is happy to cooperate with Paweł Hendrich, Cezary Duchnowski or Agata Zubel, and created compositions have a completely new quality. In the composition entitled Girl with Matches by Przemysław Scheller, the artist uses an element of space in an interesting way. The three musicians, who are high on the balconies, will accompany the full orchestra playing on the stage. During the concert we will hear the world premiere of Ewa Trębacz’s new composition but also Tomasz Skweres’s Concertino for Strings.
