Ritual: Body will be a meeting with the performing arts of the David Wampach Association Achles. The Sacre was inspired by Igor Stravinsky’s A Rite of Spring – one of the greatest masterpieces of the 20th century ballet, whose premiere in 1913 caused a huge scandal.

The Russian composer’s ballet appears symbolically in this performance – in the form of several movement patterns and trace musical quotations. The main role of the dancers is to breathe with intensity to hyperventilate themselves. French choreographer, theatre and visual arts enthusiast David Wampach is most interested in the ‘ritual, ceremony, state of ecstasy, intoxication ...’. Kaya Kołodziejczyk will play the main role next to him. The purpose of the performance is to focus on the strongest possible emotions, therefore the scenery in which the action will take place has been reduced to an absolute minimum. The performance of the Sacre is followed by Wampach’s short film Rite.
