During the concert entitled Pulcinella and Orchestra Rascals, young music lovers will get to know the characters of the Italian commedia dell'arte. The protagonist named Pulcinella is an agile and bright gentleman who likes to show off in front of the audience. The fights and brawls he often gets into prove his dynamic and restless character. Pulcinella loves to dance in the street playing his violin. His behavior draws the attention of girls and although our hero has a sweetheart, he does not avoid socializing. Unfortunately, the tendency to fall in love easily means that he often gets into trouble.
The programme features Stravinsky's Pulcinella ballet suite, inspired by unfinished and forgotten works of 18th-century Italian masters, incl. Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, light in character and full of esprit.
