Polmuz performs radical interpretations of folk songs from southern Wielkopolska, based on unique, over a hundred-year-old recordings. Primordial improvisation, ritual trance and brutal narration constitute a futuristic vision of Polish folk music. The band’s debut release entitled Drzewia consists of two albums containing the same songs in different performances. Polmuz is the winner of the First Prize and the Special Prize at the New Tradition 2018 Festival at Polish Radio 2. It has performed, inter alia, at Off Festival, Malta Festival, Solidarity of the Arts, Ethno Port, Polish Radio Concert Studio, National Audiovisual Institute in Warsaw, and Szczecin Philharmonic.
