Its ever-expanding repertoire includes contemporary music; the quintet has presented a number of lesser-known works from the global canon for the first time in Poland and has participated in premieres of pieces by numerous Polish composers, including Krzysztof Meyer, Krzysztof Herdzin, Hanna Kulenty, Nikola Kołodziejczyk, Wojciech Blecharz, Paweł Hendrich, and Nikolet Burzyńska. Together with the renowned jazz musician Wayne Shorter and his quartet, the quintet performed The Unfolding, a work composed by Shorter specially for the occasion, at the Jazztopad and London Jazz festivals. The quintet also regularly collaborates with acclaimed Polish musicians.

The ensemble’s discography comprises several albums featuring 20th- and 21st-century music, including the album 5 [+2], recorded with Nate Wooley and Tomasz Żymła, which was nominated for a 2023 Fryderyk Award in the Classical Music category. The Alevi Dedeler Rakı Masasında by Fazıl Say, performed by the LutosAir Quintet, served as the primary inspiration for the short music film Neither Peace nor Quietness (2018).

The LutosAir Quintet embraces new challenges, unconventional concert formats, and interdisciplinary approaches. They enjoy performing in unobvious venues and are committed to bringing music to care homes, hospitals, hospices, and correctional facilities, reaching individuals and communities that are often marginalized or have limited access to cultural participation.
