Tens

Whatever you create will be influeneced by the energy you carry inside of you when you create it.
Akiroq Brost

Tens * explores the theme of the body as an energy generator. The artist is looking for organicity resulting from the flow of physical feelings, vibrations, following the voice of intuition and aligning the body and mind. She gives herself time to develop. She also gives viewers time to align their own bodies with that of the performer. Tens is tension, mindfulness and peace, and strength that can always be found by breathing deeply in and out while standing firmly on your feet.
* Tens (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) is a method used in pain relief therapy using low amplitude electrical impulses. By placing electrodes on the skin, the current flows to the peripheral nerves and stimulates them in two ways: by blocking the nerve impulse that carries pain information to the brain, and by initiating the formation of painkillers - beta-endorphins.

THE VESSEL

According to Jung, the archetypal vessel defines the way of perceiving one's own identity. It is the matrix of our psychological concept of defining ourselves and our relationship to the world. It creates a structure for understanding our embodied identity. The alchemical vessel is an image of the identity of our body. Through a simple demarcation gesture, the vessel protects what it contains. The vessel must be solid to prevent what is inside from leaking out. Without a solid vessel, no transformation process can take place. Too strong stimuli may strain its structure. We quickly repair the leaks that arise in it, underestimating the constructive values flowing from chaos. Fall and disintegration are inherent in this process. However, without the ability to let go, we will not know what it means to disintegrate and reintegrate. To fall and to get caught. Without blurring the boundaries, there is not enough space in a too tight vessel for the integration of new matter and experiences. Naturally, the structures stiffen to finally disintegrate. The vessel has a specific, limited life cycle that must be respected. A vessel needs a solid building material to prevent any matter contained in it from leaking out. The vessels are hybrid in nature. They function as rites of passage leading to self-discovery. The vessel gives rise to the question of whether it is now a moment of destruction, reconstruction, repair, or supplementing it with new, valuable matter.
