The Musica Electronica Nova Festival gives a chance to artists of the young generation, including students working in the Computer Composition Studio of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław under the supervision of Cezary Duchnowski. As part of this year’s event, six of them will present their works: Agata Zemla, Dawid Grenda, Jan Załęcki, Alina Dzięcioł, Krzysztof Rau, and Maciej Michaluk.
The Computer Composition Studio was established in 1999 as a space for artistic creation using the latest technologies offered by modern science and technology. Thanks to them, the activities of young composers combine elements of music and science. The Studio has been creating works using electronic media for years now. These are works with acousmatic characteristics, intended for instruments and solid media, as well as live electronics compositions combining computers used live with traditional instruments in various line-ups: from solo instruments to symphony orchestra.
