Musica Polonica Nova

The festival has been taking place for over half a century (every two years), and its co-organizer is the Polish Composers' Union. The programme abounding in premieres presents the latest trends in music and compositions important for the development of Polish music in the 20th and 21st centuries. The festival, whose Artistic Director is Paweł Hendrich, refers to the reality that surrounds us, redefines what music is, and sets new paths for creative work .

Paweł Hendrich was born in 1979 in Wrocław. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Economics at the Wrocław University of Economy. He also studied composition at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław and at the Hochschule für Musik Köln. Paweł Hendrich's works have been performed at concerts and festivals in Poland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, Malta, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, the United States and China.
