Sandrine Piau wykonuje na międzynarodowych scenach różnorodne role, m.in. Kleopatry (Julisz Cezar Händla), Morgany (Alcyna Händla) w Opéra de Paris, Alcyny, Melizandy (Peleas i Melizanda Debussy’ego), Sandriny (La finta giardiniera Mozarta), siostry Konstancji (Dialogi karmelitanek Poulenca) w Théâtre Royal da la Monnaie, Alcyny i Dalindy (Ariodante Händla) w Amsterdamie, Paminy (Czarodziejski flet Mozarta), Donny Anny (Don Giovanni Mozarta) i siostry Konstancji w Théâtre des Champs-Elysées oraz Despiny (Così fan tutte Mozarta) i Tytanii (Sen nocy letniej Brittena) podczas Festiwalu w Aix-en-Provence.

Regularnie śpiewa także na estradach koncertowych. W ostatnich latach gościła na Salzburger Festspiele, Festival de Saint-Denis, jak też w Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Musikverein, Salle Pleyel, Concertgebouw w Amsterdamie, Teatro Communale we Florencji i Bolonii, występując z najlepszymi orkiestrami na świecie, w tym z Berliner Philharmoniker, Münchner Philharmoniker, Orchestre de Paris i Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Artystka słynie z recitali prezentujących repertuar francuski i niemiecki; towarzyszą jej zazwyczaj znakomici akompaniatorzy, tacy jak Jos Van Immerseel, Roger Vignoles i Susan Manoff.
Sandrine Piau ma obszerny dorobek fonograficzny. Jej album Desperate Heroines, z wyborem arii Mozarta, zyskał ogromne uznanie krytyki. Artystka obecnie nagrywa wyłącznie dla Alpha Classics – Chimère, zarejestrowana z Susan Manoff, jest jej pierwszą płytą wydaną w tej wytwórni. W sezonie 2016/17 występowała z koncertami w Paryżu, Brukseli, Monachium, Hamburgu (na otwarcie Elbphilharmonie), odbyła tournée z recitalami w Stanach Zjednoczonych i powróciła na Salzburger Festspiele Pfingsten, śpiewając w Ariodante. Najważniejsze wydarzenia bieżącego sezonu to Dialogi karmelitanek w Bolonii, a także koncerty w Paryżu i całej Europie.

Sandrine Piau jest Damą Orderu Sztuki i Literatury (2006) i została uhonorowana tytułem Artystki Lirycznej Roku 2009 podczas uroczystości rozdania nagród Victoires de la Musique Classique.

Sandrine Piau embraces different roles on international stages. The roles she has previously performed include Cleopatra (Handel’s Giulio Cesare), Morgana (Handel’s Alcina) at the Opéra National de Paris, Alcina, Mélisande (Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande), Sandrina (Mozart’s La finta giardiniera), Sister Constance (Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites) at the La Monnaie, Alcina and Dalinda (Handel’s Ariodante) in Amsterdam, Pamina (Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte), Donna Anna (Mozart’s Don Giovanni) and Sister Constance at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, and Despina (Mozart’s Così fan tutte) and Tytania (Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream) at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

Sandrine Piau regularly appears in concert. In recent years she has performed at the Salzburg Festival, Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Covent Garden Festival, Musikverein, Salle Pleyel, Festival de Saint-Denis, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Teatro Communale in both Florence and Bologna, and with the world’s most prestigious orchestras including Berliner Philharmoniker, Münchner Philharmoniker, Orchestre de Paris, and Boston Symphony Orchestra.

As a celebrated recital singer of both French and German repertoire, Sandrine Piau performs with renowned accompanists including Jos Van Immerseel, Roger Vignoles, and Susan Manoff.
With an extensive discography, Desperate Heroines, a stunning selection of Mozart’s arias, has been a critically acclaimed recording. Sandrine Piau now records exclusively for Alpha Classics, with whom her first collaboration is a recital disc recorded with Susan Manoff and entitled Chimère.

Her 2016/17 season was marked by concerts in Paris, Brussels, Munich, Hamburg (for the opening of the Elbphilharmonie), a recital tour in the United States, and her return to the Salzburg Whitsun Festival in Ariodante.
Highlights of this season include Dialogues des Carmélites in Bologna, along with concerts in Paris and throughout Europe.

Sandrine Piau was given the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres in 2006 and was named Lyrical Artist of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique Classique award ceremony in 2009.
