Gianluca Buratto

Jeden z najbardziej utalentowanych włoskich śpiewaków. Zadebiutował w Teatro Verdi w Trieście w prapremierze Il carro e i canti Alessandra Solbiatiego (2009). Następnie śpiewał m.in. w Virginii Mercadantego i Cyganerii Pucciniego na Wexford Festival Opera, La Betulia liberata – zarówno Jommellego, jak i Mozarta – na Salzburger Festspiele pod dyrekcją Riccarda Mutiego, Weselu Figara Mozarta pod batutą Christophe’a Rousseta w Barcelonie, Cyganerii pod dyrekcją Riccarda Chailly, I due Foscari Verdiego w Walencji, Purytanach Belliniego (sir Giorgio) podczas Maggio Musicale Fiorentino i w Czarodziejskim flecie Mozarta w Liège.

Gianluca Buratto miał niedawno swój pierwszy recital w Wigmore Hall w Londynie, ponadto pojawił się w Hamlecie Faccia i Turandot Pucciniego podczas Bregenzer Festspiele. W 2017 r. brał udział w kierowanym przez sir Johna Eliota Gardinera projekcie Monteverdi 450, występując jako Seneka, Antinoo i Pluton w operach Monteverdiego podczas światowej trasy koncertowej. Ostatnio śpiewał w Królu Edypie Strawińskiego z Berliner Philarmoniker pod batutą Gardinera, Weselu Figara (Doktor Bartolo) w Zurychu, Don Giovannim Mozarta (Komandor) w Bilbao i Turynie, Magnificat J.S. Bacha (koncert i nagranie) z sir Johnem Eliotem Gardinerem oraz jego zespołami w Londynie i podczas tournée, Cyganerii (Colline) we Florencji i Amsterdamie, jak też w Il cappello di paglia di Firenze Roty (Nonancourt) w Neapolu i Petite messe solennelle Rossiniego w Mediolanie (La Scala).

Plany na przyszłość artysty obejmują m.in. Mszę D.950 Schuberta podczas Salzburger Festspiele pod dyrekcją Riccarda Mutiego, Requiem Verdiego pod batutą sir Johna Eliota Gardinera podczas tournée po Europie, a także następujące role: Sparafucile w Rigoletcie Verdiego w Turynie, Sarastra w Czarodziejskim flecie w Rzymie, Leona w Attyli Verdiego w La Scali, Claudia w Agrippinie Händla pod dyrekcją Ivora Boltona w Bayerische Staatsoper w Monachium, a następnie w Londynie (Royal Opera House – Covent Garden) i Amsterdamie (Dutch National Opera), Bellona w Les Indes galantes Rameau w Genewie (dyr. Christophe Rousset), Melissa w Alcynie Händla na Glyndebourne Festival, Ferranda w Trubadurze Verdiego, Kadmusa/Somnusa w Semele oraz Króla Szkocji w Ariodante Händla w La Scali.

One of the major talents to come out of Italy recently. Gianluca Buratto made his debut at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, in the world premiere of Solbiati’s Il carro e i canti. Here are a number of his following engagements: Mercadante’s Virginia and Puccini’s La bohème at the Wexford Opera Festival, La Betulia liberata by Jommelli and by Mozart at the Salzburger Festspiele under Riccardo Muti, Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with Christophe Rousset in Barcelona, La bohème under Riccardo Chailly and Verdi’s I due Foscari in Valencia, Bellini’s I puritani (Sir Giorgio) at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in Liège.

Gianluca Buratto has recently performed in his first solo recital at the Wigmore Hall in London and in Faccio’s Amleto and Puccini’s Turandot at the Bregenzer Festspiele. He was a part of the 2017 Monteverdi Trilogy Project under Sir John Eliot Gardiner (as Seneca, Antinoo, and Plutone) on a worldwide tour. Most recently he starred Stravinsky’s Oedipus rex with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Gardiner; Le nozze di Figaro (Bartolo) in Zurich; Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Il Commendatore) in Bilbao and Turin; J. S. Bach’s Magnificat (concert and recording) with Sir John Eliot Gardiner and his ensembles in London and on tour; Puccini’s La bohème (Colline) in Florence and in Amsterdam; Rota’s Il cappello di paglia di Firenze (Nonancourt) in Naples; Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle at Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

Future plans include: Sparafucile in Verdi’s Rigoletto in Turin; Schubert’s Missa D.950 at the Salzburger Festspiele under Riccardo Muti; Verdi’s Requiem with the Monteverdi Choir and Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique and Sir John Eliot Gardiner in an Europe tour; Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte in Rome; Leone in Verdi’s Attila at La Scala in Milan; Claudio in Handel’s Agrippina (under Ivor Bolton) at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and then in London (Royal Opera House – Covent Garden) and in Amsterdam (Dutch National Opera); Bellone in Rameau’s Les indes galantes in Geneve (under Christophe Rousset); Melisso in Handel’s Alcina at the Glyndebourne Festival; Ferrando in Verdi’s Il trovatore, Cadmus/Somnus in Handel’s Semele and Re di Scozia in Handel’s Ariodante at Teatro alla Scala.
