-------------

Cantoría is an emerging vocal quartet specialising in the interpretation of vocal polyphony of the Iberian Renaissance.

Freshness, youth and closeness have become distinctive features of the performances of this group, which begins to build a remarkable national and international career. Formed at the Sierra Espuña Early Music International Festival during the summer of 2016, Cantoría begins to outline its career participating in festivals such as the International Young Artist’s Presentation of Antwerp (2017), the Fringe Concerts of the MAfestival Brugge (2017) and the fringe edition of the Oude Muziek Festival in Utrecht (2017 and 2018).

They were selected in Eeemerging (2018), a European cooperation programme for the promotion of emerging ensembles, where they won the Audience Prize and were chosen to continue in the project for one more year (2019).
They have also enriched their experience participating in projects such as the artistic residencies of La Cité dela Voix de Vézelay (2018), the MusaE programme of the Ministry of Culture and Sport or the renowned FestClásica circuit of the Spanish Association of Classical Music Festivals.

Their performances in the Prado Museum and National Library of Spain represent a line of continuity to their previous presentations in other national institutions, such as the National Library of Catalonia or the Festival SIMFONIC of Barcelona.

Currently, Cantoría has the support of Creative Europe, the INAEM and the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts of Murcia.
