Marcin Misiak

He graduated from the K. Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław under the direction of S. Firlej and U. Marciniec-Mazur. He was a scholarship holder of Thornton School of Music – University of Southern California in the class of E. Schoenfeld and Escuela Superior de Musica

Reina Sofia in Madrid in the chamber music class of G. Pichler. He also participated in master classes conducted by such professors as: L. Harrell, M. Pressler, S. Popov and K. Michalik. In 2009, he received a PhD in Arts and is employed as an assistant professor at the Instrumental Department of the Academy of Music in Wrocław. Together with Ch. Danowicz and M. Micker he plays in a string trio. He performs as a soloist and chamber musician. He has taken part in numerous recordings. 

He has conducted master classes at music academies, incl. in Ostrava and Ghent. He is a leader of the cello section in the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra.
