Nazwa zespołu została zapożyczona ze zbioru pieśni wydanego przez Johanna Hermanna Scheina w Lipsku w 1621 r. Musica Boscareccia gra w różnych składach instrumentalnych i wykonuje głównie kameralny repertuar wokalny XVII i XVIII w., od pieśni na głos z basso continuo po kantaty z akompaniamentem instrumentalnym. Jest to zatem bogaty i niezwykle zróżnicowany repertuar, w którym wciąż znajduje się wiele kompozycji mało znanych, niewydanych i nadal czekających na ponowne odkrycie.
Pierwsza płyta zespołu, Dulce Acento, jest kontynuacją ważnego projektu odzyskiwania dziedzictwa muzycznego, zawiera bowiem cztery niepublikowane kantaty kameralne Francesca Corsellego, pochodzące z Archiwum Kaplicy Królewskiej w Madrycie. Obok kantat nagrano także trzy sonaty na skrzypce i bas tego samego twórcy. Płyta ta otrzymała szereg wyróżnień,w tym nominację do prestiżowej nagrody ICMA. Drugi projekt nagraniowy, Sognando son Felice, jest w całości poświęcony muzyce Domenica Scarlattiego.
Członkowie Musica Boscareccia regularnie współpracują z czołowymi zespołami barokowymi hiszpańskiej i międzynarodowej sceny muzycznej, często występują na najważniejszych festiwalach muzycznych i estradach koncertowych. Zespół koncertował na Festival Internacional Santander, Festival de Música Antigua w Casalarreina, Semana de la Música Antigua w Álava, Festival Internacional de Órgano Catedral w León, Temporada de la Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Festival de Música Española w Kadyksie, w ramach cykli Salamanca Barroca oraz Cultural Cordón w Burgos, na Festival Internacional de Arte Sacro w Madrycie, w Audytorium Księcia Felipe w Oviedo, na Festival Música Antigua w Aranjuez, w Teatro Auditorio w San Lorenzo de El Escorial, w ramach cyklu Universo Barroco w madryckim Auditorio Nacional de Música, podczas Festival de Música Antigua w Sewilli, koncertów Fundación Juan March, Fundación „la Caixa”, na Festival de Música Antigua w Úbeda i Baeza oraz Semana de Música Antigua w Estelli.

The Musica Boscareccia ensemble borrows its name from the collection of songs published by Johann Hermann Schein in Leipzig in 1621 (Musica boscareccia – forest music – or ‘Wald Liederlein’ – little songs from the forest), as stated on the first page of this edition. It is a group of various instruments that is mainly dedicated to the interpretation of the chamber vocal repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, from the songs for a voice with basso continuo to the cantatas with instrumental accompaniment. This is, therefore, a vast and extraordinarily varied repertoire that still contains many littleknown compositions, unpublished works and pieces that are still waiting to be rediscovered.
Their first CD, Dulce Acento, develops an important musical heritage recovery project by rescuing from the Archive of the Royal Chapel of Madrid four unpublished chamber cantatas composed by Francesco Corselli. It also includes the first recording
of three sonatas for violin and bass by the same author. This CD has received several distinctions, including the nomination for the prestigious ICMA international award. Musica Boscareccia's second recording project, Sognando son Felice, is dedicated entirely to Domenico Scarlatti. The members of Musica Boscareccia collaborate regularly with some of the main Baroque groups of the Spanish and international music scene and their concert activity leads them to participate frequently
in the most important music festivals and concert halls.
