Artystkę można często usłyszeć na estradach koncertowych w głównych rolach altowych. Śpiewała m.in. w Laeiszhallew Hamburgu, Konzerthausie w Blaibach i Gewandhausie w Lipsku. Już podczas studiów zadebiutowała w Walkirii Wagnera w TheaterChemnitz, a w 2021 r. była zaangażowana jako Erda w Złocie Renu. Od sezonu 2022/2023 jest stałą solistką Oper Leipzig, gdzie występuje m.in. w rolach Flory Bervoix w Traviacie Verdiego, Nirenusa w Juliuszu Cezarze Händla i Mercédès w Carmen Bizeta. W sezonie 2023/2024 zadebiutuje jako Orlofsky w Zemście nietoperza J. Straussa (syna) oraz jako Trzecia Dama w Czarodziejskim flecie Mozarta. Na początku tego roku ukazała się nowa płyta z udziałem śpiewaczki – Seelenübervoll z utworami m.in. Alexandra von Zemlinsky’ego, nagranaz pianistką Friederike Sieber (wytwórnia Genuin).
Nora Steuerwald często występuje jako solistka w Niemczech, Szwajcarii, USA, Kanadzie i Izraelu. Ugruntowałaswoją pozycję w repertuarze koncertowym, śpiewając partie altowe w obu pasjach i Oratorium na Boże Narodzenie Bacha,Mesjaszu Händla, Eliaszu Mendelssohna i II Symfonii Mahlera. W zespołach o międzynarodowej renomie, takich jak ChorWerk Ruhr, Kammerchor Stuttgart oraz Collegium Vocale Gent pod dyrekcją Philippe’a Herreweghe, artystka bardzorozwinęła swoje umiejętności w zakresie śpiewu zespołowego. Już na początku studiów występowała gościnnie naInternationale Händel-Festspiele w Getyndze. W wieku 23 lat była solistką w wykonaniu koncertowym opery Der Vampyr Lindpaintnera pod dyrekcją Friedera Berniusa, przedsięwzięciu radia SWR.
Nora Steuerwald urodziła się w 1993 r. w Palatynacie (Niemcy). W latach 2015–2019 studiowała śpiew u Danieli Sindram, a w latach 2019–2022 u Caroli Guber w konserwatoriach w Lipsku i Würzburgu. Od 2022 r. kształci się w klasie mistrzowskiej Caroli Guber. Jest stypendystką Internationale Sächsische Sängerakademie w Torgau i zwyciężczynią Internationaler Gesangswettbewerb für Kirchenmusik CantateBach! w Greifswaldzie.

Nora Steuerwald can be heard frequently in the major alto roles of the concert repertoire. She has sung these roles at the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Konzerthaus Blaibach and the Gewandhaus Leipzig, among others. Already during her studies, she made her operatic debut in Wagner’s Die Walküre at the Chemnitz Opera and was engaged as Erda in Das Rheingold in 2021. Since the 2022–2023 season, she has been a permanent soloist at the Leipzig Opera. There she has performed various roles, such as Flora Bervoix in Verdi’s La traviata, Nireno in Handel’s Giulio Cesare, and Mercédès in Bizet’s Carmen. In the 2023–2024 season, Nora Steuerwald will make her role debut as Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss II and as the Third Lady in The Magic Flute by Mozart. At the beginning of the year, she released her new CD Seelenübervoll with songs by Alexander von Zemlinsky together with the pianist Friederike Sieber on the Genuin label.
Her numerous solo activities have led Nora Steuerwald through Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, and Israel. She established herself as a concert singer with the alto roles in Bach’s St Matthew and St John Passions, the Christmas Oratorio, Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, and Mahler’s Symphony No. 2. In internationally renowned ensembles, such as the ChorWerk Ruhr, the Kammerchor Stuttgart, and the Collegium Vocale Gent conducted by Philippe Herreweghe, she developed her excellent ensemble skills. Already at the beginning of her studies, she gave guest performances at the International Handel Festival in Göttingen. At the age of23, Nora Steuerwald was a soloist in an SWR Radio production of Lindpaintner’s Der Vampyr conducted by Frieder Bernius.
Nora Steuerwald was born in the Palatinate (Pfalz/Germany) in 1993. From 2015 to 2019, she studied singing with Daniela Sindram,and from 2019 to 2022 with Carola Guber atthe conservatories of Leipzig and Würzburg. Since 2022, she has been a student in Guber’s master class. Nora Steuerwald is a scholarship winner of the International Saxon Academyof Singers in Torgau and a winner of the International Singing Competition for Church Music CantateBach! in Greifswald.
